Affordable Development Outcomes works with landowners and residential developers, State and Local Government and not-for-profit organisations to develop and implement viable planning, development and funding strategies that enable the delivery of affordable housing outcomes.

Services include:

  • Development of site and precinct strategies to support planning scheme amendments and permit approvals. This includes strategies and reports that meet obligations including Fishermans Bend social and affordable housing policy and the State Clause 53.23 – Development Facilitation Program requirements. Our work provides an early framework to ensure successful delivery.
  • Development of site and precinct wide strategies for local councils and landowners.
  • Investigation and analysis of development opportunities and options to incorporate affordable housing on government and privately owned land.
  • Development of affordable housing strategies for Councils. We undertake research to identify local affordable housing need and to identify suitable actions a local government can take that align with their objectives.
  • Development of Affordable Housing Management Frameworks, ensuring affordable housing planning permit requirements and Managed Investment Scheme (MIT) requirements for affordable housing are met in Build-to-Rent (BTR) developments.
  • Coordinating due diligence assessments and provision of strategic advice on the use of Council owned land for affordable housing. We work in partnership to support local councils to understand the potential of its land, local affordable housing need and responses, and options for releasing Council land to community housing providers for affordable housing development.
  • Preparation of Expression of Interest and Request for Proposal strategy and documentation for Councils and privately owned land that seek a community housing agency partner to deliver. We provide expert advice and tender assessments support selection of the right partner.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management of sector processes and industry groups’ consideration of affordable housing challenges and opportunities.
  • Participation in industry round tables and forums to further the discussion on affordable housing delivery solutions.
