Services

Affordable Development Outcomes works with the not-for-profit sector, landowners and residential developers, local government, to develop and implement strategies to deliver social and affordable housing outcomes.
Services include:
- Development of site and precinct strategies to support planning scheme amendments and permit approvals. We develop reports that meet Clause 53.23 – Development Facilitation Program requirements and that provide a framework for successful delivery.
- Development of policy and strategies for local councils and landowners to support affordable housing delivery.
- Investigation and analysis of development opportunities and options to incorporate affordable housing on government or private land holdings.
- Development of affordable housing strategies for Councils. We undertake research to identify local affordable housing need and identify suitable actions a local government can take to respond.
- Development of Affordable Housing Management Frameworks, ensuring reflection of both planning permit requirements and Managed Investment Scheme (MIT) requirements for affordable housing in Build-to-Rent (BTR) developments.
- Coordinating due diligence assessments and provision of strategic advice on the use of Council owned land for affordable housing. We support local governments to understand the potential of its land, local affordable housing need and responses, and options for releasing Council land to community housing providers for affordable housing development.
- Preparation of Expression of Interest and Request for Proposal strategy and documentation for Council and privately owned land where there is an affordable housing requirement or objective. We support tender assessments ensuring selection of the right partner. We also review Council prepared EOI documents for council land release.
- Policy support, stakeholder engagement and management of sector processes and industry groups’ consideration of affordable housing challenges and opportunities.
- Participation in industry round tables or forums to further the discussion on affordable housing delivery.
